The Universal Credit Rating Group, known as UCRG, was a credit rating agency joint venture combining capital from the United States, China and Russia. It was established in Hong Kong in June 2013 by Dagong Global Credit Rating of China, Egan-Jones Ratings Company of the United States and RusRating of Russia, and it was headquartered in Hong Kong. UCRG was created to compete with established Western credit rating firms and described itself as the only international credit rating agency based in the Asia-Pacific region, serving primarily the Asian market.
