Comision Clasificadora de Riesgo

The Comision Clasificadora de Riesgo, or Risk Rating Commission, is a Chilean government body established in 1985 under Decree Law No. 3,500. It approves or rejects the domestic and foreign debt instruments and equity securities that Chilean pension funds are permitted to purchase, acting as the country's official risk classifier for those investments. Its risk rating methodology for equity securities has drawn international recognition, and some members of the International Social Security Association have adopted its approach.
