Korea Investors Service (KIS) is a credit rating agency headquartered in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, founded in February 1985 as the Corporate Financial Information Center before taking its current name that May. Described by the company as Korea's first licensed credit rating agency, it conducts credit assessments across corporate bonds, commercial paper, structured finance, and other securities. KIS became an affiliate of Moody's Investors Service in December 2001, Moody's Singapore became its largest shareholder in December 2007, and KIS became a wholly owned Moody's subsidiary in July 2016.
