The International Copper Cartel was an international producers' agreement that operated from 1935 to 1939, formally established on March 28, 1935 through the World Copper Agreement in the aftermath of the Great Depression's collapse in copper prices. Its five voting members, Anaconda Copper, Kennecott Copper, Roan Antelope Copper, Rhokana Corporation, and Union Miniere du Haut-Katanga, along with two non-voting observers, Bor and Rio Tinto, coordinated production curtailments outside the United States in an attempt to stabilize copper prices and marketing conditions worldwide.
