The Company of Merchant Adventurers of London was a trading company founded in the City of London in the early fifteenth century, bringing together leading merchants in a regulated company organized in the manner of a guild. Its members' main business was exporting cloth, especially undyed white broadcloth, in exchange for a wide range of foreign goods. It traded in northern European ports in competition with the Hanseatic League, and it came to focus its trade on Hamburg.
