National Treasuries and Fiscal Authorities

British Business Bank plc is the economic development bank of the United Kingdom government, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Sheffield, England. It operates as a state owned public limited company wholly owned by HM Government through the Department for Business and Trade, and rather than lending directly to most firms it works through accredited lenders and fund managers to improve smaller businesses access to debt and equity financing, through programmes including the Growth Guarantee Scheme, ENABLE initiatives, Start Up Loans, and equity investment delivered through subsidiaries such as British Business Investments and British Patient Capital.
