Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) is the national development bank of Croatia, established on June 12, 1992 by the Government of Croatia and headquartered in Zagreb. Wholly owned by the Republic of Croatia, it functions as both a development bank and an export credit agency, offering loans, export credit insurance against political and commercial risks, guarantees, and business advisory services. Its main activities finance reconstruction and infrastructure projects, support small and medium enterprises, advance environmental protection, and protect domestic exporters from non-marketable risks, with a staff of 457.
