National Development Bank of the Czech Republic

The National Development Bank of the Czech Republic (NRB) is a Czech public development bank headquartered in Prague, established on January 28, 1992 as the Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank and known by that name until it adopted its current title on September 1, 2021. It has historically focused on supporting small and medium sized enterprises through guarantees and preferential loans, later expanding into financing for housing development and municipal infrastructure and serving as an intermediary for European Investment Bank infrastructure loans. It is fully owned by the Czech state, represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Regional Development.
