Bpifrance

Bpifrance, formally the Banque publique d'investissement, is a French state owned investment bank established in 2012 as a joint venture between the Caisse des depots et consignations and EPIC Bpifrance Group, each holding half ownership. It became operational in 2013 after consolidating French government financial support for businesses by merging OSEO, the Fonds Strategique d'Investissement, and CDC Entreprises, and now provides loans, guarantees, equity investments, and export financing. Headquartered in Maisons-Alfort, it has been a Significant Institution under European Banking Supervision, and so under direct European Central Bank oversight, since 2014.
