Korea Development Bank

The Korea Development Bank (KDB) is a South Korean state owned development bank founded in 1954 under the Korea Development Bank Act to finance and manage major industrial projects and expedite the industrial development of South Korea. Originally focused on industrial financing, it expanded into investment banking from 2000 and helped restructure troubled companies and provide capital during the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis. Headquartered in Seoul with 69 domestic and 22 international locations, it ranked as the 61st largest bank in the world as of 2018 and now provides corporate, investment, and international banking alongside restructuring services.
