Mubadala Investment Company is a state-owned global investment firm that acts as one of the sovereign wealth funds of the government of Abu Dhabi, wholly owned by that government. It was formally created in January 2017 through the merger of the International Petroleum Investment Company, established in 1984, and the Mubadala Development Company, which began operations in 2002. The firm invests across private equity and multiple sectors including technology, energy, real estate and infrastructure, and as of 2024 it managed assets of 330 billion US dollars; it is headquartered in Abu Dhabi with additional offices in London, Rio de Janeiro, New York, San Francisco and Beijing, chaired by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak serving as chief executive and managing director.
