The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority manages Nigeria's sovereign wealth fund, into which surplus income from Nigeria's oil reserves is deposited. Established through legislation signed in May 2011 and beginning operations in October 2012 with an initial seed of 1 billion US dollars in capital plus a later 0.6 billion dollar contribution, it is headquartered in Abuja and operates three investment windows, the Stabilisation Fund, the Future Generations Fund and the Nigeria Infrastructure Fund, holding about 2.4 billion US dollars in assets under management as of December 2024.
