Luxembourg Income Study

The Luxembourg Income Study (LIS), now formally the LIS Cross-National Data Center, is a nonprofit organization registered in Luxembourg that produces a cross-national database of household income microdata for social science research. Started in 1983, the database has grown to include more than 300 datasets from roughly 50 high- and middle-income countries, some spanning more than three decades, most of it supplied by the participating countries' own national statistics agencies.
