The World Economics Association is a professional association of economists, launched in 2011 to promote a pluralistic approach to the discipline through worldwide membership and governance open to diverse economic perspectives. Organized as a non-profit community interest company under UK law, it drew more than 3,600 economists from 110 countries within its first ten days, with early supporters including Steve Keen, Dani Rodrik, James Galbraith and Richard Koo, and it publishes three open-access peer-reviewed journals, Economic Thought, World Social and Economic Review and Real-World Economics Review, alongside books, a newsletter and online conferences.
