The World Inequality Database (WID), previously known as the World Wealth and Income Database and also called WID.world, is an extensive, open, and accessible database on the historical evolution of the distribution of income and wealth within and between countries. It is maintained by the World Inequality Lab, which works to advance research on global inequality dynamics by expanding the database, producing analysis, and publicly disseminating findings.
