Imperial Agricultural Bureaux

The Imperial Agricultural Bureaux was an initiative of the governments of the British Commonwealth, who agreed to jointly fund a number of bureaux to collect, collate and disseminate information on research in eight selected branches of agricultural science. An Executive Council was created on 1 April 1929 and went on to set up the eight bureaux, whose principal role was to help research workers across the British Empire keep abreast of their subjects, chiefly by circulating regular bulletins and journals of abstracts covering updates in their specific areas.
