World Trade Institute

The World Trade Institute (WTI) is an interdisciplinary centre at the University of Bern focused on research, education and policy support in global economic governance, international economic law and international economic sustainability. It was established in 1995 and formally organized in 1999 as a collaborative research and training centre involving three Swiss universities with support from the World Trade Organization, and since 2009 has held status as a strategic Centre of Excellence within the University of Bern, with significant support from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
