Qatar Stock Exchange

Stock Exchanges and Market Infrastructure

The Qatar Stock Exchange is the principal stock market of the State of Qatar, headquartered in Doha. It began in 1995 as the Doha Securities Market, which became operational in 1997, and took its current name following a 2009 strategic partnership agreement between Qatar Holding and NYSE Euronext. A member of the World Federation of Exchanges, it provides Qatari companies a venue to raise capital and gives investors a transparent platform to trade financial products, and it has received index-classification upgrades from both MSCI and S&P Dow Jones Indices.
