The National Bank of Angola is the central bank of Angola, established on August 14, 1926 though tracing its ancestry to 1865, and headquartered in Luanda. Wholly owned by the Angolan government, it manages the Angolan kwanza and the country's foreign reserves, reported at about 23.47 billion dollars, and participates in financial-inclusion efforts as a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.
