The Central Bank of Djibouti is the monetary authority of Djibouti, established on April 18, 1979 by decree and headquartered in Djibouti City. Wholly state-owned, it issues the Djiboutian franc, supervises financial institutions, manages exchange controls, and advises the government on monetary matters, holding foreign reserves of approximately 350 million dollars.
