Multinational and Currency Union Monetary Authorities

This group collects the Central Banks and Monetary Authorities subcategory's members that issue or administer a currency, reserve arrangement or monetary policy for more than one country at once, rather than for a single issuing country: the European Central Bank and the eurozone, the CFA franc zones of Central and West Africa and their two regional central banks, the Eastern Caribbean dollar and its regional central bank and currency union, the Southern African Common Monetary Area, the BRICS Contingent Reserve Arrangement, the European Union's own Economic and Monetary Union, and the South East Asian Central Banks Research and Training Centre, a joint cooperative body of multiple Southeast Asian central banks rather than any one country's own authority. It is kept apart from Special and Historical Monetary Authorities, whose members either never became an operating currency union or ceased to function.
