Financial Transparency Coalition

The Financial Transparency Coalition, launched in 2009 as the Task Force on Financial Integrity and Economic Development and renamed in May 2013, is a global coalition of civil society organizations and governments based in Washington, D.C. It brings together non-governmental organizations in more than fifty countries, along with government bodies such as the Canadian International Development Agency and the secretariat of the Leading Group on Innovative Financing for Development, to press for greater transparency and accountability in the global financial system and to detect illicit financial flows the coalition argues penalize billions of people worldwide.
