Ghana-Suriname Chamber of Commerce

The Ghana-Suriname Chamber of Commerce, known in Dutch as the Ghana-Suriname Kamer van Koophandel, is a chamber of commerce working to improve trade relations between Suriname and Ghana. It began as a 2018 initiative of Susan Alfred-Walcott, a Trinidadian who had emigrated to Ghana, arising during preparations for Ghana's Year of Return marking 400 years since the start of the Ghanaian diaspora, when Ghanaian authorities asked her to promote Suriname and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The chamber is staffed by four people experienced in international business who are familiar with both countries.
