The Group of Eleven is a forum representing developing countries on matters of international financial policy, made up of eleven lower middle income countries. It was created on September 20, 2006, following a proposal made by King Abdullah of Jordan in 2005, and its members are Jordan, Croatia, Ecuador, Georgia, El Salvador, Honduras, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay and Sri Lanka. The group's stated aims are to ease its members' debt burdens, narrow income disparities with wealthier nations and reduce poverty, seeking market access, debt relief and stronger productive capacity to support sustainable economic growth.
