The Group of Seven Plus is an intergovernmental organization of countries that are either in active conflict or have recent experience of conflict and fragility. It was established in 2010, following discussions at the 2008 High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra, Ghana, and formalized at the first International Dialogue for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding in Dili, Timor-Leste, where it is headquartered. Its twenty member countries, spanning Africa, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Caribbean and together home to about 260 million people, exchange lessons on peacebuilding and statebuilding, advocate for aid policies suited to fragile situations, and work to strengthen political, administrative, financial and resource institutions as a foundation for economic and social development.
