St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is an annual Russian business event for the economic sector that has been held in St. Petersburg since 1997 and under the auspices of the president of Russia since 2006. More than 10,000 people from over 120 countries take part each year, with the forum held at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre since 2016, previously at Lenexpo, and organized under the Russian government and the Roscongress Foundation. It functions as Russia's economic counterpart to the World Economic Forum in Davos and is often referred to as the Russian Davos, bringing together corporate executives, government officials and political leaders to discuss economic policy and investment.
