Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce

The Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce is an international chamber of commerce launched on 24 February 2024 to strengthen economic ties between Suriname and Guyana. It held its first stakeholder meeting virtually on 30 August 2023 with representatives of Surinamese and Guyanese companies, organized by Henna Soerdjoesing of the Surinamese ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation, with Surinamese and Guyanese officials in attendance. Rahul Lildhar was presented as its chief executive officer on 3 January 2024. Beyond bilateral trade, the chamber promotes trade relations at international venues and helped organize a bi-national trade event in Paramaribo in June 2024, and in July 2024 the Suriname Investment and Trade Agency signed a memorandum of understanding with the chamber.
