Groups named statistical measures and indices used to track and report the state of an economy: figures such as gross domestic product, the consumer price index, the unemployment rate, the trade balance, inflation rate measures and consumer confidence indices, whether headline national statistics or specialized sector measures. Belongs here: a specific, named measurable statistic or index used by economists, governments or markets to gauge economic performance or conditions.
