Economist entities are the individual scholars this atlas documents, from foundational classical and marginalist figures through contemporary Nobel laureates and policy economists, distinct from the school of thought they are associated with and from the concept or theory they authored, each its own entity linked back by relationship. This category is grouped by primary field of contribution into the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) top-level classification, the same scheme this atlas already applies to concept entities, currently populated across thirteen of the twenty JEL letters; the atlas aims at several thousand economists, so this category is expected to keep widening.
