Institutions

Institution entities are the organizations this atlas documents as concrete actors in the world economy, distinct from the economist who may have led or studied one and from the concept a research institution may be known for developing, each its own entity linked back by relationship. This category is grouped into ten functional bands spanning central banks, multilateral development banks, international monetary and trade bodies, market infrastructure, regulators, credit rating agencies, historic trading companies, national treasuries, research institutions and economic forums, and by far the atlas's largest driver category by live member count; the atlas aims at comprehensive coverage of several thousand institutions.
