The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is a multilateral development bank headquartered in Beijing, formally established on January 16, 2016 with the aim of financing infrastructure and improving economic and social outcomes across Asia. It has grown into the world's second-largest multilateral development institution, with a membership of 111 states, including six prospective members.
