The Central Bank of Curacao and Sint Maarten (CBCS), headquartered in Willemstad, Curacao, administers monetary policy for both Curacao and Sint Maarten. Founded on February 6, 1828, it is the oldest surviving central bank in the Americas; it managed the Netherlands Antillean guilder before the two islands transitioned to the Caribbean guilder in 2025.
