The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is an American financial market infrastructure company that provides clearing, settlement and trade reporting services, established in 1999 as a holding company merging the Depository Trust Company, founded in 1973, and the National Securities Clearing Corporation, founded in 1976. It functions as a central securities depository, executing securities transactions on behalf of buyers and sellers while maintaining central custody of securities across equities, bonds, government securities and derivatives. User-owned and directed by banks and brokers, DTCC processed 2.50 quadrillion US dollars in value worldwide in 2022, and it is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey.
