Deutsche Borse, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, operates as a marketplace organizing the trading of shares and other securities and functions as a transaction-services provider giving companies and investors access to global capital markets. Its platforms include the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the Eurex derivatives exchange, the Xetra trading system, the Luxembourg-based clearing house Clearstream, and the index provider STOXX, and it ranks as the third-largest stock market in Europe by market capitalization, after Euronext Paris and the London Stock Exchange.
