The Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) is a Swedish research institute at Stockholm University, founded in the early 1960s to produce outstanding research for publication in leading international economics journals. Its roughly eighteen full time researchers contribute about four papers a year to top tier economics publications, and its members have received honors including the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and the Yrjo Jahnsson Award, as well as leadership roles in major international economic organizations and academies.
