Indonesia's Ministry of Finance is the government ministry responsible for the nation's finances and state assets, established August 19, 1945 and headquartered at Gedung Djuanda I in Jakarta Pusat. Operating under the motto Nagara Dana Raksa, meaning guardian of state finance, the finance minister reports directly to the president, and the ministry manages taxation through its Directorate General of Taxation and customs and excise duties through its Directorate General of Customs and Excise, among its other fiscal responsibilities.
