The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) is India's largest commodity derivatives exchange, founded on November 10, 2003 and headquartered in Mumbai. It offers futures and options trading across bullion, non-ferrous metals, energy products such as crude oil and natural gas, and agricultural commodities including mentha oil, cardamom, palm oil and cotton. MCX went public in February 2012, becoming India's only publicly listed exchange at the time, and has been regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India since September 2015.
