The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE), colloquially known as the Bursa, is the only public stock exchange in Israel, tracing its origins to a securities bureau founded in 1935 and formally established in 1953. Headquartered in Tel Aviv, it is itself a public company that has been listed on its own exchange since August 2019, and it provides the venue through which member banks and investment houses raise capital and debt for companies and the Israeli government.
