The Capital Market Authority (CMA) is the Saudi government's financial regulatory authority for capital markets, formally established by royal decree in June 2003 and headquartered in Riyadh. Operating with financial, legal and administrative independence and reporting directly to the Prime Minister, it regulates and develops Saudi Arabia's capital markets, oversees the Tadawul stock exchange, and works to protect investors from fraud while ensuring transparency and fairness in securities transactions.
