The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is South Korea's integrated financial regulator, established on January 2, 1999 and headquartered in the Yeouido district of Seoul. It examines and supervises financial institutions across banking, securities, insurance and other sectors under the broad oversight of the Financial Services Commission, the country's government regulatory authority.
