The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is South Africa's market-conduct regulator for financial institutions, headquartered in Pretoria. Established on April 1, 2018 under the Financial Sector Regulation Act 9 of 2017 as successor to the Financial Services Board, it regulates the market conduct of financial institutions, promotes fair treatment of customers, licenses financial services providers, and maintains a public registry so consumers can verify whether a firm is authorized to operate. It is headed by a Commissioner and reports to South Africa's Minister of Finance.
