The Securities Commission Malaysia is a Malaysian statutory body responsible for the development and regulation of the country's capital markets, established on March 1, 1993 as a self-funded statutory body. It serves as the authority developing and maintaining secure, efficient and orderly capital market operations in Malaysia and enforcing regulations to support capital market growth. It is headquartered in Bukit Kiara, near the National Science Centre in Kuala Lumpur, operates under the oversight of the Minister of Finance and Minister of Finance II, and has been chaired by Dato Mohammad Faiz Azmi since June 16, 2024.
