Deposit Protection Agency (Thailand)

The Deposit Protection Agency (DPA) is Thailand's deposit insurance institution, established on August 11, 2008 under the Deposit Protection Agency Act B.E. 2551. It supervises deposit protection across Thailand's financial institutions, and by its own reporting it supervised 33 financial institutions and protected deposits for roughly 104 million depositors, with the great majority of those depositors receiving full coverage of their balances under its scheme.
