Consumer and Financial Services Protection Bodies

This group collects the Regulatory and Standard-Setting Bodies subcategory's members whose own description states financial-consumer or market-conduct protection as its own distinct primary mandate rather than as a secondary clause alongside competition enforcement: the UK Financial Conduct Authority, South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority, and the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme. It is the subcategory's smallest group, kept apart from Competition and Antitrust Authorities, whose members enforce competition law as their own primary mandate even where consumer protection appears as a secondary clause in the same body's own name.
