The Comision Nacional de Valores (CNV, National Securities Commission) is the official body responsible for promoting, supervising and controlling securities markets throughout Argentina, established on July 16, 1968 and headquartered in Buenos Aires. An autonomous agency operating under the Ministry of Economy, it grants authorization for public securities offerings, works to ensure market transparency and proper price formation, and protects investors; a later law expanded its authority to cover virtual asset service providers.
