The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank was established in October 1983 and is headquartered in Basseterre, St. Kitts, serving eight territories of the Eastern Caribbean Economic and Currency Union: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It manages the Eastern Caribbean dollar and holds two core mandates, maintaining price stability and safeguarding the stability of the banking system across the currency union, carrying out bank supervision across its member territories.
