The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, known by its French acronym FIATA, is a non-governmental organisation representing freight forwarders worldwide, founded in Vienna in 1926 and known informally as the architects of transport for its role in setting uniform standards and documents for the freight forwarding industry. According to its 2021 annual report it comprises 109 national association members and nearly six thousand individual company members across roughly 150 countries, and it holds consultative status with United Nations bodies including UNCTAD and UNCITRAL as well as recognition from the International Chamber of Commerce and the World Trade Organization. It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
