Irish Aid

Irish Aid, known in Irish as Cunamh Eireann, is the official international development aid programme of the Government of Ireland, established in 1974 and run through the Development Co-Operation and Africa Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs. According to OECD figures cited in its own account, the total official development assistance of Ireland reached about 2.5 billion US dollars in 2022, around 0.64 percent of gross national income, and the programme is described as an integral part of Irish foreign policy.
