Multi-government institutions capitalized by member states to fund development projects, infrastructure and poverty reduction through loans, grants and equity investment, including the World Bank Group and its constituent arms and the regional development banks. Belongs here: any institution whose primary function is development lending or investment across borrower countries. Does not belong here: institutions that lend to stabilize a member currency or balance of payments rather than fund development projects, grouped under International Monetary and Trade Organizations, or national treasuries that fund their own government rather than other countries, grouped under National Treasuries and Fiscal Authorities.
